3 Day Uluru Tour

The tour starts from either Alice Springs or Yulara (Uluru Airport) and includes a visit to Ayers Rock (Uluru), a stop at Mt Conner lookout, a quick break at Curtin Springs, and lunch at the campground. Please note that guests being collected from Ayers Rock will need to get their own lunch before joining the tour.

After lunch, we visited the Red Centre’s cultural centre to learn about the park’s significance. We then approached Uluru and marvelled at its grandeur up close. We trekked to Mutitjulu waterhole, discovering sacred rock art sites and listening to ancient stories. Next, we visited Kantju Gorge and witnessed the highest waterfall in Central Australia. Finally, we enjoyed a spectacular sunset over Uluru while dinner was prepared for us.

Day 1 Highlights:

Driving Distance: 350km.

Hike Distance: 2-3 km / 2-3 hours. (*Lunch is only provided for those departing from Alice Springs. Those being collected from Ayers Rock will need to source their own lunch prior to joining the tour.)

We woke up early for a light breakfast before heading to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. We witnessed a beautiful sunrise at Uluru and then marvelled at the majestic silhouette of Kata Tjuta. We hiked through the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge and admired the massive rock formations. After exploring Kata Tjuta, we made our way to Kings Canyon to catch another stunning outback sunset. We enjoyed a hearty meal around the fire at our camp.

Day 2 Highlights:

• Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
• Hike the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge
• The Olgas– Kata Tjuta
• Glorious Sunrise at Uluru

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Accom: Kings Creek Station Campground (Kings Canyon) Safari Tents or Bush Swags with campground communal facilities.

Driving Distance: 406 km (4.5 Hours).

Hike Distance: 2-6 km / 2-4 hours (*weather dependent).

We began our day early to explore Kings Canyon (Watarrka) in Watarrka National Park, the sacred lands of the Ulpanyali and Lilla people, known as a monumental site in the area.

Don’t forget your hat, water, and sturdy hiking shoes for our walking exploration of the canyon with its towering cliffs over 100 meters high. Enjoy the unique sandstone chasms and spectacular views.

Following a restful break, our journey ends as we head back to our final destination, concluding our adventure at either Yulara or Alice Springs.

Day 3 Highlights:

• Outback Scenery – Travelling through remote Central Australian countryside from Kings Canyon to our final destination, either Alice Springs or Yulara/Uluru.
• Kings Canyon Watarrka National Park – Take a guided walking tour and learn more about the rare native flora, fauna and geology of this unique place
• Finish your journey in either Alice Springs for your onward travels
