Itinerary
Experience a Pinnacles Day Tour that explores the breathtaking natural regions of the West Coast. Encounter the beauty of the Pinnacles with an adventure filled with starry skies, twilight, and native wildlife.
Escape the urban environment for a day and explore some of Western Australia’s most stunning natural wonders.
After 1.5 hours from Perth, we stop to stretch our legs and take in the views from Lancelin’s lookout. The lookout is home to the largest network of dunes in Western Australia. These dunes are gigantic and snow-white, creating a stark contrast with the glistening turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in the distance. Before we continue our journey, make sure to shake the sand out of your shoes. Our next destination is the Nilgen Nature Reserve. This region is abundant with flora and fauna.
As we wander through the reserve, we’ll be surrounded by a kaleidoscope of wildflowers. These include banksias, bottlebrushes, heath, grass trees, and kangaroo paws. When the flowers are in season, they burst with life. If the flowers are not in bloom, there’s no need to worry. We can head over to Hangover Bay instead. At Hangover Bay, you can dip your toes in the crystal-clear waters or spot bottlenose dolphins and sea lions.
After filling our lungs with fresh sea air, it is time to visit Nambung National Park and see the extraordinary Pinnacles desert at sunset. The Pinnacles are made of shells and were formed millions of years ago when the land was underwater. It is recommended to explore them during dusk when the crowds disperse and the numerous limestone pillars emerge from the desert, creating a unique lunar-like ambience as the colours change over the rocks.
Experience a picnic dinner with a glass of local wine, included in the package, while enjoying a breathtaking light show of nature under the sky. As night falls, marvel at the celestial beauty of the stars and planets shining far above. Listen and learn about the ancient tales of the Aboriginal Dreamtime and gaze into the vastness of the universe.
